Manuel Lorite Diez

Born in Granada, Spain (1991). He is currently a PhD student (FPU research fellowship) in Fluid Mechanics at University of Jaén.

Education

Manuel Lorite Díez received his Industrial Engineering degree from the Universidad de Jaén in 2014. From September 2014, he has been studying a PhD degree in Fluid Mechanics, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Carlos Martínez-Bazán, Dr. José Ignacio Jiménez González and Dr. Cándido Gutiérrez Montes. Additionally he took engineering courses at Università degli studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE) in 2012.

Interests

His research consists in characterization and improvement of bluff bodies's wakes and drag. He has also started working on fluid-structure interaction. He performs mostly numerical work. Wakes stability and control.
